The traversing wall that we installed at Roberts Wood School in Chalfont St Peter was the second one we’ve undertaken at a primary school. Roberts Wood School decided that they wanted something a little more adventurous for the children to play on, they decided that a traversing wall would be the perfect addition to their current play equipment.
Upon viewing our traversing wall installation at Hobbs Hill Wood School, Hemel Hempstead, and a recommendation of our workmanship from the head teacher Mr R. D. Haynes, Roberts Wood School were more than happy to award us the contract.
Installation of this traversing wall was completed with minimal disruption, and a high regard for health and safety procedures.
The foundations for this installation were poured on the first day of the project and contained steel reinforcement for added strength. The wall was constructed using concrete cellular blocks and later the hollow blocks were filled with concrete and steel reinforcing, before painting and adding the climbing hand holds.
