Trinity college is part of Cambridge university so we were very excited to be a part of this project. The site had undergone a large refurbishment and we were contracted to lay 1600m2 of resin bound gravel.
The site had a large roundabout in the middle and had previously been laid with loose gravel. With cars turning frequently around the round about the gravel moved around a lot and started looking untidy. The College wanted a gravel colour which would work against the architecture of the building and have something that would last.
Access was very difficult on this job. Our material had to be delivered into a holding yard and then sent to the site via 5 tonne lorries that just about fitted into the courtyard.
We think the results speak for themselves.
