Project Overview
For this project, we were tasked with bringing a stunning family garden to life with our landscaping and construction services. The stunning Anchor Garden design was developed by Rosemary Coldstream and chosen for its zoning, which completed the busy family life perfectly.
Anchor Cottage Garden Design
This family garden brings indoor living outside with its intricate garden design and various zones.
The relaxed lounge terrace creates a laid-back space to enjoy both during the day and in the evening. Alongside the pleached Magnolia offering privacy, the sounds of the lily bowl and the heat from the fire table leave a cosy space for the whole family to enjoy.
A variety of raised beds and steps around the garden lead you from the main terraces onto a perfectly level semi-circled lawn. The split faced wall cladding adds texture and is finished with coping stones that have been radially cut to keep the clean look of the garden.
The steps to the left of the garden lead to the children’s play area with a sunken trampoline nestled in the grasses.
The Dining terrace is perfectly positioned with more pleached magnolia that offer privacy but also create beautiful, dappled light passing through on sunnier days. The low-level planting softens the fences, with herbs perfectly positioned in the beds around the outdoor kitchen.
Finished Result And Awards
We followed Rosemary’s design exactly to create an attractive and highly functional outdoor space for our family at Anchor Cottage.
We were thrilled to be awarded a BALI National Landscape Award for this garden.
